Hi, I’m Twala.

Kamva Twala

I build software with security designed in from the first commit. Postgraduate cybersecurity student at Nelson Mandela University, project manager of SIC Connect, and working towards a career in DevSecOps.

Four nested security layers: people and process, infrastructure, pipeline, and code at the centre People & process Infrastructure Pipeline Code

Why security

I started writing Java in NetBeans in Grade 10 and have been building things ever since. Security became personal when I saw how a single hijacked social media account could be turned against everyone in its contact list. One weak point was enough to reach dozens of people.

That is the idea I carry into every project: defend in layers, and make the secure path the easy path for users and developers alike.

My role: project manager
